The Challenge

The application’s vision was to provide cheap rides in the urban areas where users can easily hire bikes on the rent at cheap prices. Esferasoft’s team was responsible for creating a user friendly bike taxi app that provides all advanced features to user and E-Bike vendors. On this platform, vendors can register and rent-out the bikes to potential customers.


To develop this digital platform, we decided to architect a robust system architecture under the NIST standard. We developed android applications and backend to manage the system for crystal clear reporting along with payment gateway integration. We used following major technologies in order to develop this platform:

  • Protect the E-bike from the thief
  • Live tracking of the bikes
  • Speed Limits and regulations
  • Vendor get paid on bike damage
  • Rider identity verification

Agile Methodology

We followed the Agile development methodology to develop this system. The product owner defined the backlogs and stories for the development, as sprint development starts with the agile team. During the initial phase, we did the requirement gathering and initial project documentation. In the next stage, we started with the use cases and wireframes to groom the user stories.

The Solution

Application users can search the nearby vendors and stations to book the instance or schedule a ride as per their need. To achieve this, we developed mobile applications for the rider and vendor. For analytics, vendors can access the web dashboard under the super Admin control.

  • Secure and Safe

    Being a responsible technology partner, it was our team’s responsibility to make a secure and safe system. Therefore, we followed all the essential development guidelines to store all the information into the encryption form and secure the user data. We added mobile number verification ( OTP) in the system to make sure no fake people are registered on the system. It takes an identity proof for the vendors to verify their identity before handover the bike for the ride.

    We also added the inspection to manage the bike status before and after the ride. Additionally, provided an SOS and help section to the user in case of any emergency situation.

Success Story

This US based student taxi app is one of its own kind with verified drivers and students data. The app has received a lot of accolades from the app reviewers and locally. The school students and their parents appreciated it and have started recommending this app to their dear ones already.
